This is a reproduction of the popular rally jackets widely available during the heyday of the British car industry in the mid 1960's to early 1970's. Known as rally jackets or sometimes car coats, they were seen up and down the country every weekend at race meetings and rallies. Not to mention scooter club gatherings and even guest appearances on The Sweeney, as the much favoured attire of blaggers and getaway drivers!
Greatly similar in style to the type sold by famous names of the day such as Les Leston and Paddy Hopkirk. They make great period attire for revival meetings such as Goodwood, classic rallying, circuit racing or just simply looking the part at club meetings and show days! Embroidered patches are widely available on eBay and from car clubs, allowing you to further enhance the jacket to obtain the correct look. Please note that any badges should be SEWN ON AND NOT IRONED ON as the heat would totally ruin your new jacket.

They have a waterproof nylon outer shell and are designed to be warm enough for chilly days, yet light enough for balmy Summer days at windswept race circuits. The cut is intentionally generous to allow for overalls or a jumper and t-shirt to be worn underneath and is based on modern sizing, rather than the way we all were back in the day.
